Natural Healing Books - Some Good, Some Bad, Here"s How to Find the Right One
Natural healing books are so abundant in supply.
There are hundreds and thousands of books available for purchase that cover the extremely broad topic of natural healing and natural healing techniques.
There are books that date back to well before any of us were born and there are books that just came out this year.
It doesn't matter when the book was published, but how it was laid out.
There are two major flaws that I find with many natural health books.
Firstly, books that are organized by the technique and or herbs, instead of the illness make it extremely difficult to find the cure you are looking for.
Let's use the cure for stuffy nose/nasal congestion.
One of the best all-natural cures for nasal congestion is Eucalyptus leaves.
If you put a small handful of dried Eucalyptus leaf in the bottom of a pot or bowl and pour boiling water over it, the boiling water will extract the healing properties of the leaves.
All you need to do now is get a towel and place it over your head AND the bowl with the Eucalyptus.
You want to trap the steam and inhale it.
Do this for 10 minutes and your stuffy nose will be gone.

that is pretty simple, right? And if you were looking through a natural healing book and found a section titled Natural Cure for Nasal Congestion you would be half way to nasal relieve...
BUT a lot of natural health books are not titled that way.
Many books are only titled by the actual herb themselves which means if you know nothing about herbs you would have to read the whole book to find the cures you need.
NOT very convenient, is it? If I'm sick and am looking for natural relief all I want to do is go straight to one page and find everything I need.
If you are shopping for a natural health book, make sure it is searchable by illnesses and not by herbs themselves.
The other major flaw is when books don't give you all the information.
For example, I'm looking at an all-natural health book right now and opened it up to the page for relieving backache.
There advice is to apply Traumeal cream to the area and then apply ice.
Not bad advice, in fact I would recommend Traumeal and ice to anyone suffering from a backache, but I would also recommend a bunch more.
To me it seems that many natural health books are missing so much useful information.
One of the best ways you can relieve a backache is by applying pressure to the insides of your feet.
Those are the reflex points for your spin.
Along with rubbing the insides of your feel, not the bottom or the top, but the sides of your feet on the inside, I would also take homeopathic medicine such as Arnica.
By taking some dissolvable Arnica pills you will greatly relieve the back pain.
Then there is also magnet therapy that I would use to help my back feel better.
Magnets are amazing at healing our bodies.
(Make sure to only use the negative magnetic field, the one that naturally points to the north).
If you place a negative magnetic field over the area of pain you will begin to feel the pain go away.
Have a friend tape it to your back and leave it there all night.
Then there are Essential oils that you can use to relieve backache, such as wintergreen.
Aspirin comes from Wintergreen, so it isn't hard to believe that wintergreen oil rubbed on your back would be a good source of natural pain relief.
There are a couple more things that I would do to cure a backache, like acupressure and acupuncture, but the point is that natural health books should have all that information available to you.
I can only assume that the reason they don't have all the reflexology, acupressure, acupuncture, essential oils, aromatherapy, home remedies, homeopathic medicine...
etc in one book is because they want you to buy 8 different books.
