- Acupuncture. This involves putting very thin needles into the skin at certain points on the body. Studies show that acupuncture can help prevent tension headaches.3
- Biofeedback. This is a relaxation method to help you learn to control a body function that you normally don't control, such as muscle tension.

- Meditation.
