How to Cut Chrome

1). Clamp your chrome surface in place on your work table. You want to ensure it doesn't move as you cut it.
2). Take safety precautions by putting on goggles and heavy work gloves before cutting.
3). Mark the spot you want to cut with a washable marker.
4). Place your non-dominant hand over the chrome piece for added stabilization. Be sure your hand is nowhere near the area you're cutting.
5). Center the blades of a hacksaw over the chrome piece. Slide the hacksaw back and forth with your dominant hand to cut through the chrome.
6). Stop periodically as you cut to ensure you're still cutting the line you drew. This helps ensure accuracy.
7). Wipe away the washable marker with a damp cloth once you complete the cut.
