Unscrew the shower head from the spigot. Use your hand to try to unscrew it first. If this is not successful, use a wrench and gently turn the shower head to loosen it. Remove and store for possible use in the future. - 2). Apply a piece of Teflon tape around the threads of the spigot. Screw the end of the new hose to the shower spigot. Turn it tightly. You don't want water spraying out around this area. If you need to, use the wrench and gently tighten an eighth to a quarter turn.
- 3). Attach the wall mount if the kit came with one. Many hand-held shower kits have a built-in hook on the end of the hose on which to hang the showerhead when you don't want to hold it. However, if there's no hook, there will be a loose hanger in the kit. Stick this to the wall of the shower where it will be convenient to hang. Use an adhesive pad or glue pad if the kit did not supply one.
