    Apple Cider Vinegar Plan

    • Apple cider vinegar contains six active ingredients that work to increase metabolism and help aid your body in losing weight. When combined with a balanced diet and regular physical activity, apple cider vinegar can help control weight gain and reduce the total amount of fat cells within the body. While the actual properties that allow the body to lose weight are still under investigation, the antioxidant properties within apple cider vinegar allow the system reduce the toxins it contains that can slow weight loss, according to a study done by the University of Arizona.

      To consume apple cider vinegar for weight loss, you will want to drink one serving 15 minutes prior to every meal. Mix 2 tspns. of apple cider vinegar with 6 oz. of water and add 1 tspn. of pure agave nectar for taste. Stir all of these ingredients and drink. Make sure that you do not simply chug the drink, as it needs to be slowly introduced into the body. Continue this regimen until you have achieved your weight loss goals. If you are on any medication, consult your physician to make sure the ingredients within this solution will not counteract any meds you are currently taking.

    • Green tea contains a high level of polyphenols, which are a powerful form of antioxidants. The main active ingredient within green tea polyphenols is epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which can increase your metabolism, according to the University of Maryland's Medical Center. When the EGCG and caffeine from the green tea are ingested, they both work to stimulate the central nervous system to release stored fat cells into the blood stream to be utilized as energy, which is called thermogenesis. Because of this increase of energy, you will notice that when it comes time to exercise you will have more strength and endurance to prolong your workouts. This extra boost will allow you to exercise longer, which will burn more calories and help shed excess weight faster.

      You can consume green tea in tablet form; however, actually drinking the tea will introduce a higher level of polyphenols and caffeine into your body. You can buy pre-made green tea bags, which are easy and quick to prepare. Bring 6 oz. of water to a rolling boil and then pour this water into a container with one tea bag placed in it. Cover the container and allow the tea bag to steep for five minutes before removing and sweetening with 1 tspn. of agave nectar.
