Cory Miller and iThemes reviewed

Today I want to share with you an appraisal on iThemes which is a premium Wordpress theme provider. Let me just cut right to the chase here in what this is exactly all about.

If you are a developer and are schooled in CSS and know your way around HTML and seldom if ever need to ask for guidance of their support then the themes are good an in particular the Builder theme is brilliant.

The developer of the builder theme is a chap by the name of Chris Jean and he is really knowledgeable and talented. He puts together a great theme without question.

Now alternatively if you are not a developer and not schooled in CSS, html etc. and just getting started with Wordpress, need support and timely support, iThemes is not the place to go. Their support is wanting to say the least and one point you might hear a whole lot while requesting guidance is that is farther than the scope of our support. Like they say it all begins at the top and runs down hill from there.

The founder and the chap apparently at the helm of the schooner is a mate by the name of Cory Miller. He is rude and actually doesn't have much interaction with the people and it shows. He is once in a blue moon if at all in the forum and that is a good thing as he would push even more people away. It is my understanding that when a consumer makes a purchase an in particular when that product is the product that you had developed you by no means say to your customers no at least within reason. Of course there is always going to be one or two who want you to build the site for them but most are just researching for answers after running down every path they have available to them for answers.

At iThemes don't raise too many questions and don't expect a fast answer and don't become anxious after waiting for 2-3 days and not getting an answer and you might be okay. If you do you might openly be scolded as one woman customer was that was simply looking for a child theme that was promised would be done but delay after delay kept it from happening. If you would like reply in a appropriate fashion and aren't getting it you might just get a refund without asking for it and shown the virtual door.

In reality it is hard to believe that in the day and age in which we live that still happens and it appears to be rare for the reason that most comprehend the results there may be from mishandling a situation like this is considerably greater than purely providing wonderful support. I was always led to believe that it is a lot easier to keep a patron than it is to find a new one. Cory Miller of iThemes seemingly disagrees with that philosophy and would rather be short and rude because of course he is a occupied.

The themes are good but the support is about a 4 on a scale of 1-10. There are a great deal of people who like the themes but do not like the support or the way things are handled at iThemes.

You might get this long extended message that explains why they can not help you which in most cases takes longer to put together than actually just answering the question.

iThemes and in particular the builder theme is first-class but the support and the mate at the top needs to learn more about how to take care of the customers from the customers perspective. Could this just be another example of the clamoring for more of the almighty dollar and forgetting that it is thrilled customers that make more of those dollars come in the door?

For those who want excellent themes and awesome support then our suggestion is the StudioPress,Thesis and Headway themes. Those mates realize how to treat their customers and understand without them they would be in a different business. Cory Miller of
iThemes apparently does not know that at least yet or care.
