A Quick Guide on How to Build Solar Panels

Building a solar panel is relatively simple.
A good guide is needed if you want to produce your own power.
If you want to build your own, all that's needed are the right materials, some basic electrical knowledge, and a lot of creativity.
You need a source of your electricity.
They are nothing more than arrays of electricity-producing solar cells wired in series.
A typical cell would produce around 0.
5 volts of electricity, so you would need at least 36 cells in order to produce 18 volts required to charge a car battery.
Make sure that each cell is generating the required amount of electricity by hooking it up to a voltmeter and measuring the amount of voltage.
It is also wise to take note of your required voltage in order to determine how many solar cells you need.
Once you have your voltage requirements, it's now time to make the casing for your solar cells.
This casing will now be your solar panel.
The dimensions of your solar panel will be determined by the number of solar cells you would need to put in, or the limitations of the space where it is to be installed.
You can start constructing your panels with wood or any other material the can house your solar cells.
Make sure that your panels is able to withstand the direct sunlight, wind or rain in the area you are going to install it in.
Once it has been constructed, you can attach the solar cells to it.
Make sure that they are wired together in series.
Wiring them in any other configuration will not allow the voltage to add up.
A series connection means the negative end is connected to the positive end of the next cell.
Once you have wired them together and placed them properly in your solar panel, you can then proceed to check the output voltage and current to make sure that your solar panel fits your needs.
