How to Convert Mid to iPod

    • 1). Download and install an MIDI to MP3 audio converter program such as "My Music Tools," "Direct MIDI to MP3" or "MIDI MP3 Converter" (see Resources).

    • 2). Launch the MIDI to MP3 audio program and wait for the software to load. Choose "File," "Open" and select the MIDI file you want to convert. Once it loads onto the display screen, click "Output" and choose "MP3" as the output format. Select a location to save the file to and click "Convert." The MIDI file now converts over to the MP3 format.

    • 3). Open iTunes. Because iTunes is required to activate your iPod, it is already installed on your system (if not, it is available for free at iTunes.com). Click "File," "New Playlist" and a new playlist appears on the screen.

    • 4). Click and drag the new MP3 audio file into the open window. Use the USB data cable to connect the iPod to your computer. iTunes detects your connected iPod and syncs up with the device, uploading all new content currently in iTunes, including the new MP3 audio track(s) you imported. Once the sync has finished you may disconnect the iPod from your computer.
