    Skin Care

    • Develop good skin care habits. To prevent acne, wash your face twice a day with a mild cleanser to clean your pores. Then, apply a light moisturizer with your fingertips to keep your skin smooth. In the morning, apply a moisturizer that contains sunscreen to prevent sun damage. Always remember to wash your makeup off before bed because it can clog your pores.

    Makeup

    • Young teenage girls do not need to apply much makeup to look pretty. Applying heavy makeup can actually make a teenage girl appear older than she is. Instead, wear light makeup that highlights your best features.

Apply a tinted moisturizer to even out your skin tone. If you have blemishes, gently dab concealer with your finger directly onto the area. Apply a peach color blush to the apples of your cheeks with a fluffy brush to brighten your complexion. Accentuate your eyes by applying gold eyeshadow to the eyelids and brush two coats of black mascara to your eyelashes. Then, put on a sheer lip gloss to finish off the look.

    Hair

    • Wash your hair regularly, but not too much. Overwashing can strip the natural oils from your hair and dry it out. Don't use hairdryers, curling irons or flat irons too often because the heat can damage your hair. Let your hair air dry on most days and apply mousse or smoothing cream to add style to your hair. If you want to change your hair color, consult with a professional first.

    Physique

    • Many teen girls worry about their weight. While it is good to want to be healthy, it can be detrimental to obsess about body image. Instead, concentrate on having a healthy body. Eat three regular meals a day. It is especially important to eat breakfast every morning because it provides you with energy and prevents overeating later in the day. Also, get about an hour of physical activity a day. Participating in a team sport at school is a great way to get physically active. If you don't like team sports, go for a walk after school or take a dance class.
