    • 1). Boil 4 cups of water and add 2 tea bags each of chamomile and peppermint tea. Be certain the tea is caffeine-free. Let the tea bags sit in the water for 5 to 10 minutes.

    • 2). Remove the tea bags and dispose them. Open up two capsule of echinacea into the tea. (Echinacea can be found in the health department of any grocery store or drug store.) Stir well.

    • 3). Add in 2 tsp. of minced garlic. This can be fresh or jarred. Stir well.

    • 4). Pour the tea into a container and put it in the freezer for 10 minutes. (This cools the tea quickly without adding ice, which would water down the tea.)

    • 5). Make sure the tea is cooled, then take a syringe and put a dose of the tea into the dog's mouth, aiming for the side of his cheek. Make sure he swallows. You may need to gently tip his head back and massage his throat to coax him to swallow.

    • 6). The sicker the dog is, the more often the tea should be given. A large dog may need 3 to 4 doses each time. A dose should be equal to at least 1 Tbsp.
