Credit Card Vending Machines

These days more and more Vending Machines are accepting credit cards.
The reasons are obvious in that the consumer may not be carrying cash and swiping their credit card is a lot easier to do.
Cash is becoming a thing of the past.
Even though it may be difficult for you and me to imagine a future where we don't carry at least some cash in our pockets, college kids only have their debit or credit card as means of payment.
So much so, that they have been named Generation "P" because of their preference to pay with plastic.
Imagine not having the hassle of loose change in your pockets or trying to feed a wrinkled dollar bill into the vending machines over and over until it finally accepts.
In addition, the machine itself will work much smoother since the coin mechanism and the bill acceptor don't get used.
Those are the parts most likely to malfunction and the reason why you end up kicking the vending machine when you don't get your drink or bag of chips.
Lastly you can purchase multiple items on a single swipe, rather than having to put in more money to buy that additional candy bar after getting the initial bottle of soda.
The places that are best suited for credit card readers are Hospitals, Colleges, Shopping Malls, Outlets, Retail locations, Schools, Amusement parks, Theatres, Zoos, Convention Centers, Airports and the list goes on and on.
Basically high traffic areas where people aren't as price conscious.
Take into consideration that the prices will most likely be higher per item since the vending machine company has to make an investment into the card readers themselves.
Furthermore the vendor has to pay an additional fee to the credit card company for the privilege of accepting credit cards.
The fact of the matter is Cashless payment methods are the way of the future.
Cash has already been on a decline in everyday transaction and this will only accelerate in the years to come.
When considering a vending company or a vending machine service, think of what is best for your employees and the people that will have access to your machines.
Going cashless means that you will make more money in commissions since the machines will be used more.
Furthermore, the machines will breakdown a lot less which means you don't have to deal with the vending company and wait for them to fix the machines.
