A nervous breakdown can be disturbing, disorienting and frightening. It may come suddenly or last for several years. Depression, confusion or anxiety may accompany a feeling that you are out of control.Nervous, mental or emotional breakdowns are lay terms. Nerves and emotions don't break down; these terms imply an emotional or mental collapse or a feeling of approaching collapse.

Diverse life difficulties lead to changes in behavior and mood of people. It is important not to confuse changes in behavior caused by such difficulties, and signs of more serious problems. Changes in behavior and mood are causes for serious concern when they are lasting, radical and hinder coping with everyday life.

Depressed People Become Negative, Hopeless and Pessimist: Depressed people lose all hope in life and begin to see life through the eyes of a pessimist. They lose the bigger perspective of life and don't realize that the things that are causing them trouble and pain isn't going to last forever, eventually it will come to pass.

Stress is your body's natural response. The physical and psychological symptoms vanish if the perceived threat is no more there. Your body is supposed to get back to its normal state. But if the body is frequently subject to this state then it could be draining and could lead to long term problems. There would be accumulated toxins in the body and could also lead to chronic problems and sometimes could also lead to death.

It is impossible to understand emotional health without reference to the cultural and social background of the individual. Certain societies stress ambition, the accumulation of wealth and aggressive behavior as important. Other societies expect the individual to show no strong ambition, to refrain from aggressive behavior, and cooperate with other members of the society.

There are many symptoms of the attacks and most of these will happen even at times when you least expect it. Some of the common symptoms include chest pains, palpitations of the heart and difficulty in breathing. You will feel as if you are smothered and you suddenly find yourself grasping for air. There are other people, which symptoms include stomach upset, sudden nausea and dizziness, tingling sensation or numbing of the hands. You may also have hot flashes or chills that may lead to trembling.

A person is typically diagnosed with it when they find themselves not able to exist in social roles that they once participated in. It is often accompanied by feelings of inadequacy, depression and losing touch with what is real or not real. Many times it shows up after a person has been in a long battle with stress and did not deal with it when it should have been dealt with early.

Some anxiety disorder symptoms are purely emotional. Rather than changing the way your body feels, these symptoms are more like persistent moods or predictable reactions. They don't necessarily center on fear or anxiety.Common emotional anxiety disorder symptoms include irritability and constantly feeling "on edge". People suffering anxiety disorder symptoms often seem only one stressful event away from some sort of breakdown.

Allow Negative Influence From People Masquerading as Friends - Being unwilling to manage the kinds of people you allow into your life, or being unwilling to discern who really has your best interests at heart. Pain is inevitable on this life, but misery is optional.
