There is something special about using a Protoss, and we are going to teach you today.
You can use a Protoss to your tactical advantage and begin seeing a great deal of change in the amount of victories you are seeing on a regular basis.
Now when you are trying to succeed in Starcraft 2; you want to make sure that you are using a specific strategy.
In this case you want to make sure that you are building a very balanced build and constantly scouting your opponent, You also want to make sure that you are setting up a legitimate defense.
Setting Up Your Defense This is something that is absolutely critical in Starcraft 2 - many people don't realize this, but you can still wall off your opponent even when using Protoss; you do not have to be just terran, but there's different ways you can do it.
One type of build is when you put two gateways in a distant part of the map, probably the center of the map, and you build a pylon and two gateways.
This is called a zealot rush type strategy; the two gateway rush.
Many people consider rushes cheese, I consider them effective and all part of the game.
Now one thing that you want to before you even set this up, is to set up your defense, that means at the ramp of your base, you want to make sure that you build structures such as your forge and robotics facility and create a 1 grid opening.
You then want to set up some photon cannons, and even put a zealot there, that way if there's an attack; the photon cannons and the zealot will take care of them! This is good strategy and this alone has me seeing some wins! Of course there's tons of build orders like the void ray rush, zealot rush, cannon rush, and things of that nature, so it's best to explore them all; that way you know how to counter them as well!
