Children more than anyone else, have a high need for vitamins. The reason is that they grow, their bodies develop and they need a steady amount of vitamins and minerals in order to be healthy and vital.

Vitamin C and vitamin B are water-soluble and the excess of them is discarded in the urine. Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat-soluble and accumulate in the body, so you must be careful with them so you don't overdose the child's body.

What can the different vitamins contribute to the child's health and in what quantities you need to give them to your child?

Vitamin C
Vitamin C is one of the most important vitamins in the human body and especially amongst children. It strengthens the immunity, helps the growth and the proper development of bones and teeth. Strong antioxidant and adjuvant, vitamin C is important in order to prevent your child from getting ill very often or even if it gets ill the healing process will be as easy as possible. It can be found in fresh vegetables and fruits. Daily dose - up to the first year - 25 mg, from 1-6 years - 30 mg.

Vitamin A
Vitamin A is essential for the proper development of the vision of the little ones. It is useful for the growth and the condition of skin and teeth. It is found in dairy products, eggs, and fish. If needed it can be given as an additive.
Daily dose: Up to 3 years - 350-400 mg, from age 4 to 6 - 500 mcg.

Vitamin B1
Thanks to vitamin B1, the glucose from the food reaches the brain and the nerves. This vitamin can be obtained from many kinds of food, so it is rare to have a shortage in the body. Daily dose: Up to 1 year - 0.2-0.3 mg, 1 to 3 years - 0.5 mg, from age 4 to 6 -0.7 mg.

Vitamin B2

It helps the muscle tissue formation and the maintenance of good health. For adolescents Vitamin B2 is important for the mucous membranes in the body. It is contained in cereals and dairy products. There is no danger of overdose.
Daily dose: Up to 1 year - 0.4 mg, from age 1 to 3 - 0.6 mg, 4 to 6 years - 0.8 mg.

Vitamin B3
Vitamin B3 is essential for converting food into energy, so the quantity that the child accepts is tied to the energy it wastes. In life, children need more vitamin B3. It is found in liver, cereals and fish.
Daily dose: Up to 1 year - 3-5 mg, from age 1 to 3 - 8 mg, from age 4 to 6 - 11 mg.

Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 is important for the health of the child and the blood is crucial for the processing of proteins in the body. It is found in cereals, meat, fish, and eggs.
Daily dose: 6 months - 0.2 mg, 6 to 12 months - 0.3-0.4 mg, from age 1 to 3 - 0.7 mg, from age 4 to 6 - 0.9 mg.
