• Cranberry is a township in western Pennsylvania approximately a half-hour north of Pittsburgh. Cranberry township offers a cheaper alternative for travelers who wish to visit Pittsburgh because it is in Butler County instead of Allegheny County, which avoids the additional 1 percent local sales tax, but it is still conveniently about 20 miles away from the city off Interstate 279.

• The Residence Inn is a part of the Marriott hotel chain and is suited for guests who intend to stay for longer periods.
