Getting Car Insurance For Teenagers

Teenagers getting their first car insurance usually find out that the premium rates are extremely high.
However, with a few simple tips, anyone driver below 25 can keep the monthly insurance expenditure down to a decent level.
First, let us explain why vehicle coverage policies for teenagers are so high.
Statistics have shown that inexperienced drivers, especially under a certain age, are likely to get into traffic accidents within the very first year.
They are much more inclined to driving under influence and speeding, which, more often than not, leads to disasters.
This is the reason why policy issuers regard them as a huge liability, and the premium rate is raised accordingly.
To score higher in the insurance company's evaluation system, taking a preventive driving course and passing the exam is a must.
In some countries, such courses are organized by the local police and are quite inexpensive, at least compared to the reduction in the premium rate you will get.
Alternatively, you could inquire with your chosen insurance company about taking this test.
Further discounts can be offered based on the teenager's general outside life and behavior: the more responsible the youngster acts, the more he is likely to behave well behind the steering wheel.
Getting good grades in school can bring down the premium rate quite substantially: a GPA above 3.
50 usually leads to a good grades rebate.
On the other hand, a GPA below 3.
00 will turn out even worse in the scoring mechanism, as a teenager who can't get good grades in school is likely not to act well under pressure.
Last, but not least, the more secure the car is, in terms of passenger safety (double airbags, extensible seat belts and so on) and anti-theft protection (GPS monitoring, alarm system), the less the insurance will cost.
