Your Attitude Determines Your Altitude

Do you have a "can do attitude"? If you don't, this is the primary reason you see very little change in your life.
You are probably ruled by the circumstances and forces of society and do what you must, in order to get by.
Have you ever seen an attribute in others that you wish you had? Probably.
We all do at some point or other in life.
This is a good thing.
It's a motivator for change.
But that's all it will ever be, if you do nothing with it, a motivator.
Action is what is required to make a change.
How many times have you heard or read that? Well, it's true.
You must take (appropriate) action.
It's a must.
But in order to take any action, you need that "can do attitude"! You will never move forward in life if you don't think "you can".
This is an attitude that governs your destiny.
Again, "the definition of insanity is, doing the same things and expecting a different result".
You HAVE to do something different, to get that different end result.
Attitude! I love the analogy used to explain this principle.
You may have heard it before, but if not, here it is.
"Attitude determines altitude" comes from the process of an air(o)plane taking off the runway.
Power is applied to the engines, and at the appropriate time, the nose is lifted upwards (attitude).
Depending on the angle of that lifting, determines the rate at which the plane climbs, and therefore the altitude it reaches.
If the pilot did not level off at the right altitude, he would keep on climbing.
Limited only by the laws of physics.
(he could only climb so far before it would not be possible to go higher.
) If you think you can, you will.
If you think you can't, you won't.
It really is not that complicated.
The difficulty comes in the "execution" of the required change(s).
It takes discipline, determination, planning, encouragement, and work.
These, working together, will see you through to the end.
You will achieve your goal(s)! There have been numerous books written on every aspect of the process I am talking about.
You need to grow and develop in all the areas I just mentioned.
It is ATTITUDE that keeps you focused.
When you feel like you can't go on, attitude determines whether you fail or succeed.
It will help you go on, or quit.
"Yes I can" says, "keep going" when everything is against you.
"No I can't " will make you quit, even when there's no reason you won't make it.
If the changes you want are important enough, you will do whatever it takes.
The first place to start is working on your attitude.
If you have a good attitude, you may still need to work on it.
None of us know it all, all the time.
We need to be reminded and refreshed.
Here's to your success!
