Supplies needed • Power drill • Hole saw • Level • Screwdriver • Adjustable wrench • Tubing cutter • Wire nuts Study your manufacturer's instructions for the location of the power supply and drainage lines.
Some models are made very tight fitting and the water lines need to be in the right place so the dishwasher will fit in the opening.
Remove the bottom panel to find the power connection, inlet solenoid valve and drain outlet.
Tests fit the dishwasher in place and verify that the water lines are located at the proper location.
Slide the dishwasher out and set it aside.
Drill a hole for the supply and discharge lines this can be done with a 1 ½ inch drill bit.
Connect the discharge line, water line and power line to your dishwasher.
Slide the dishwasher into place.
Level the dishwasher by adjusting the threaded feet.
The door will open and close smoothly when the unit is level.
The mounting brackets for the dishwasher should be aligned with the underside of the countertop and the side of the cabinet.
Turn on the water.
Inspect for leaks, and then tighten connections if necessary.
Replace the sink drain tailpiece with one that has a side inlet.
The drain line should be connected to the dishwasher outlet using hose clamps.
Most discharge lines need to be mounted high in the cabinet to form an air lock for the dishwasher.
Connect the wires: connect white to white, black to black and the green to the ground screw.
If the colors are different, read the manufacturer's instructions for connecting the wires.
Use wire nuts to connect the wires.
Run the dishwasher through a test cycle to make sure it works properly.
Now you can enjoy your new dishwasher.
