How to Remove Lipstick From Cotton Blend Fabric
- 1). Pre-treat the stain if you are away from home. Blot, do not rub, the stain with a wet hand towel. This should lighten the stain and make it less noticeable.
- 2). Moisten a clean, white cloth with rubbing alcohol. Blot the lipstick stain and it should quickly disappear.
- 3). Place a few drops of a grease-fighting liquid detergent on the stain. Allow it to set for a few minutes and then gently blot the stain from the outside edges with a clean cloth, working your way inward until it is removed.
- 4). Blot off as much of the lipstick as possible with water. Pour ammonia on a cotton ball and apply it to the stain.
- 5). Soak the item in warm, soapy water. Use a grease-fighting liquid detergent as the soap for the mixture.
