How to Troubleshoot Halo for PC
- 1). Reinstall the game and patch it to the newest version. A clean reinstall will fix corruption errors caused by modifications. After reinstalling, update the game to the most recent version (1.08 was the final patch released for Halo PC). You can update the game by using the in-game installer. Click "Multiplayer" on the main menu and follow prompts.Or, run the self-updater EXE (see "Resources").
- 2). Verify your machine meets the minimum hardware specifications. You need a graphics card that supports DirectX 9 or higher, at least 128 MB of RAM and a 1GHz or higher processor.
- 3). Update your graphics card and motherboard drivers. Driver updates increase performance and sometimes add new features. You can find the most recent drivers for all your computer's hardware on the manufacturer's website.
