- 1). Click "Start" and then click on "Control Panel."
- 2). Click "User Accounts" in the new window and click on the account to which you want to add a password.
- 3). Select "Create a Password" from the options given.
- 4). Choose a password. Be sure that the password you choose is something that you'll easily remember, but will be hard to guess such as your pet's name and birth date or your car and the date you bought it.
- 5). Retype your password to confirm.
- 6). Click "Create Password."
