This is thanks to pharmacological treatments that are available to children, treatments that are also barley know about among parents.

It was discovered that most adults who have anxiety had it as a child but didn't have it treated.

The most common of which is the fear of the dark, a overlooked problem by almost all parents.

In a strange but shocking link, children who have had painful bowl movements as children, for example constipation, have anxiety issues associated with going to the toilet.
These painful bowl experiences have led them to associate the toilet with pain and therefore have left them dreading going to the toilet.
This is known as defecation anxiety, just one of the anxiety stems that are produced as children.
Children with this have been known to become generally fearful of pain as a result, creating a serious anxiety disorder.
