- 1). Click on the "Start" menu and type "cmd" into the "Search Programs and Files" box and press "Enter" to open the Windows Command Prompt.
- 2). Type "taskkill wmiprvse.wxe" (without the quotation marks) into the Windows Command Prompt and press "Enter." Click "Yes" if asked whether you are sure that you want to remove wmiprvse.exe.
- 3). Close the Command Prompt.
- 1). Click on the "Start" menu and then click on "Run." The Run box opens.
- 2). Type "taskkill /wmiprvse.exe" (without the quotation marks) into the box next to "Open" and click "OK."
