- 1). Log into your Yahoo! Mail account.
- 2). Click "Show" next to "Chat & Mobile Text," if you cannot see your list of chat contacts.
- 3). Click a contact to open a chat window, or click "Start a new Chat" and enter the person's Yahoo! or Windows Live email address.
- 4). Enter a message in the chat window and click "Send."
- 1). Go to the Yahoo! Messenger for the websites at webmessenger.yahoo.com.
- 2). Click "Sign In" and enter your login details in the pop-up window. You will then be redirected to the Yahoo! Messenger for the Web account page.
- 3). Click a contact from the left-pane to open a chat window in the right-pane.
- 4). Enter a chat message in the bottom text field and click "Send."
