- 1). Identify the Ada Torch Flower by its long lasting tawny flower spikes. The spikes can be any shade of orange or yellow. The flowers grow on upright stems. The grass-like leaves are long and narrow. This plant grows up to 3 feet high and up to 2 feet wide. It blooms in late summer to early fall.
- 2). Water the Ada Torch Flower enough to keep it from wilting. Deeply water when you notice the soil is starting to dry out, but do not let it wilt. Water enough to reach deeper roots.
