How to Make an Easy Birthday Card
- 1). Fold a sheet of white or colored card stock in half. Turn the card on its side so it opens by flipping top up. Place it on an even table.
- 2). Stencil out or write the recipient's new age in block letters and "Happy Birthday!" under or above it. Keep the age near the center of the card. Draw a circle around the age so it stands out. Also draw a birthday present and three-tiered birthday cake with a candle on top under the age. Decide on the colors for the card.
- 3). Color the stenciled birthday messages and images on the card using colored pencils, markers, crayons or paint. If using watercolors, leave the paint to dry to prevent the color from spreading.
- 4). Outline the cake on the front of the card with glitter pens so it stands out and embellish it with sequins or stickers. Glue a silk ribbon over the edges of the front of the card to form a uniform border. Allow the glue to dry.
- 5). Write a personal message on the inside of the card using a plain or glitter pen. A message should be cheerful, like "Have a special day and a successful year," "Wishing you a Wonderful Birthday" or could be romantic, like "On your birthday, I want to take the opportunity to tell you how much you mean to me." Let the gel dry before folding the card and placing it in a plain envelope with the recipient's name across the front.
