- 1). Turn off the lawn mower.
- 2). Locate the discharge chute. Most discharge chutes on Toro lawn mowers are located on the right side of the mower.
- 3). Locate the door latch of the discharge chute. These door latches vary in size and shape, but they generally have a metal lock secured with a Phillips head screw and are near a diagram indicating the "Locked" and "Unlocked" positions.
- 4). Loosen the door latch screw with a Phillips head screwdriver.
- 5). Turn the metal latch 90 degrees counterclockwise to unlock the discharge chute.
- 6). Open the discharge chute.
