The Five Falsehoods of Online Prospecting With Builders For MLM Downlines
Such misunderstanding can end up costing people thousands of their hard earned dollars a year in wasted effort and time.
The five falsehoods, or myths about online MLM, are to be outlined as follows, and people would do well to acquaint themselves with them in order to become informed prospects.
Falsehood #1: You must get in on the ground floor of this opportunity as soon as possible! What is that statement really trying to say to prospects? Some see it either as people joining after may make less money, or that the company will be non existent in a couple years.
And what happens to people who choose to join in five or six months after the appointed invitation? Improvement is the hallmark of a good business opportunity.
With time and exposure, a business should garner more wealth and customers, so beware of business opportunities that push for speedy involvement.
Falsehood #2: Doing Multi Level Marketing on the internet can bring about wild levels of profit in a month or a very short period of time! Having a home online business that can create income quickly and substantially is one of the most unfortunate and damaging myths that can plague the online MLM business.
While it may be possible for someone who is considered a big dog in the world of MLM who has an established partner network to make what is generally considered a residual income of about a thousand dollars a month.
But for a new person building a new online MLM business at home, this will be extremely difficult to pull off.
Consider that the average MLM on the internet pays out an average of five dollars per person in the organization.
In order to make an average of five thousand dollars, about a thousand people will need to do in your organization.
While it is possible, it will take some time to achieve.
Falsehood #3: Building a network from the top downwards! This is a common misconception; people who feel that someone starts at the top and brings people under them.
People will carry that attitude over with them and it will reflect in their work.
It would be better to build from the bottom and foster a few people who in turn will bring in more worthy people into the network.
Falsehood #4: Making a lot of sales will generate a lot of income! A successful MLM will work best if a large number of people help each other out to make relatively small numbers of sales.
It works like this, when someone works to make thousands of dollars by getting hundreds of people in his organization, he will eventually drop off because of all those people, only a few will be able to do the same level of work.
So to keep the money will keep rolling in month after month, it would be better to build an organization that can be fostered to make more money.
Falsehood #5: The product sells itself! If that were true, then the company wouldn't need anyone to sell their products.
It takes time and money to market products so don't get swindled into believing that a product would need no extra work to sell and make money, take the time to learn all about the product or service and educate yourself and your customers.
