Laser tag is a unique way to exercise and have fun with a group of friends. Everyone is outfitted with a laser tag vest, headset and a gun. The vest and headset have laser sensors that will detect the beam from your gun. Activating this sensor is a "tag." The tagged person must recharge their gun in order to rejoin the battle. There are many fun variations on this basic idea.

    Solo

    • In solo laser tag, there are no teams, no flags and no alliances. It is a free-for-all. Everybody plays against everybody else in an attempt to tag at least 10 people. You get only one life, so when you are tagged, you are out of the game and must leave the game field. The fear of getting knocked out so easily will create an atmosphere of tension and excitement. Try solo laser tag with large groups for a frantic and hectic game.

    Team Detonation

    • The most basic team game in laser tag involves teams tagging as many opposing teammates as possible. Team detonation is an exciting diversion from potentially stale normal team play. Team detonation allows up to four teams at once. There is a "gem" in the arena that can be shot by all teams. Once this gem is tagged, it starts a 30 second timer. If no other teams shoot the gem before the timer reaches zero, every other team will lose 25 points. Each team is maxed out on ammo, energy and lives but they lose energy every time they are tagged. Running out of energy loses a life and all points.

    The Bug

    • Add a different type of frantic undercurrent to your team games by playing The Bug. Up to four teams can play this game. Each team receives 25 energy and 99 lives. Each person tagged is worth 10 points. Game play proceeds much like team detonation. However, once an opposing team tags "the gem," the other team or teams will receive "the bug." The bug causes your vest to sneeze and cough. Once you have the bug, you will lose three energy for every 10 seconds you have the bug. Running out of energy causes your team to lose a life and 50 points. However, tagging the gem passes the bug onto a different team. At this point your team will stop losing energy.
