4 Cool Dog Tricks

Many cool tricks can come from the dog just performing the behaviour naturally, you praising him when he does it and then introducing a command.
Here are 4 to get you started.
Bow Always necessary after any performance.
Wait till your dog takes a stretch, this should be the position you want and say "Bow".
If you watch your dog after it has had a sleep you will be able to have many opportunities to try this.
Then you try giving the command "Bow".
If there is no reaction wait for more opportunities when your dog wakes up.
Once he has the idea you could move on and get him to come from behind you and bow between your feet.
Have a different command for this may be "Peep".
Beg Your dog should sit in front of you.
Hold a treat just above his nose.
Your dog will probably try to reach it by lifting his paws off the ground allowing him to get his nose and mouth higher.
Let him nibble the treat once in the correct position.
Do not give the treat if he is jumping up.
It might take a while to strengthen the muscles to sit up and beg for more than a short time.
Remember plenty of praise as well as the treat.
Give me a Kiss This should be very easy as most dogs will want to get near your face.
Tap your cheek as your dog is close by.
Use a command "Kiss".
If your dog is reluctant put a little cheese spread or peanut butter on your cheek and try again.
Remember about hygiene and wash your cheek and do not over use this trick.
Crawl Start with you dog in the down position.
Hold a treat just in front of his nose and use the command "Crawl".
If your dog gets up use an interrupter sound such as "Ahhhhhh" to get your dog back into the down positions and then try "Crawl" again.
Eventually he will start to crawl.
Then you just move the treat so it is always a little way from his nose.
Always keep the treat at ground level.
At first a crawl of an inch is good and then build it up from there.
