    • 1). Locate a metal tab riveted to the top of the instrument panel on the driver's side, visible through the windshield from the outside of the truck. The number sequence stamped on the tab is the VIN.

    • 2). Locate the vehicle certification label adhered to the inside of the driver's door. The label's header reads, "Mfd by Ford Motor Co. in U.S.A." if the truck was manufactured in the United States," "Mfd by Ford Motor Co. of Canada, LTD." if the truck was manufactured in Canada or "Mfd by Ford Motor Company" if the truck was manufactured in Mexico. The number sequence printed above the bar code in the "VIN:" field is the VIN.

    • 3). Look on the truck's title or registration document. The number sequence printed in the "VIN" field or "Vehicle Identification Number" field is the VIN.
