Many Christians like to gossip about other people. Judging people and talking bad about them behind their backs is a sin. James 4:11 states that a person who judges his brother is not obedient towards God's law but have become a judge. It is wrong to judge others when you are committing the same sin yourself (Luke 6:41 €" 42). For with what measurement we judge others, we will also be judged (Luke 6:27).
Those who gossip and slander about other people will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. We must live by the Holy Spirit and love one another. The most important commandment in the Bible is to love God with all your heart, soul and mind. If you love God, you will love people and not talk bad about them.

When you see a brother doing wrong, you should go to him and tell him his wrong instead of gossiping at his back. In this way, the brother will be edified and he will stop repeating the mistake.

If you see a person sin but you did not rebuke him, God will hold you accountable (Ezekiel 33:6). Gossiping can cause strife to occur (Proverbs 20:19).
