Properly Washing Your Face

You wash your face, right? Of course you do.
I do too, but I'm sure the method that I use is more effective.
It's just as easy, but probably takes a little bit longer than the method that you use.
I can say it works, because I have clear skin after battling acne for years.
You can wash your face in the sink, or in the shower it doesn't really matter.
One of the most important things is the water temperature.
Most people wait for the water to heat up before scrubbing their skin, when they really should be using cool water.
Not cold water, cool water, it should be somewhere in the range of 65 to 70 degrees.
The cool water will help the soap get down into your pores better than hot or warm water allows.
Also, pay attention to the amount of time that you are scrubbing.
Just because you've covered your entire face doesn't mean that you're done.
This is especially important with exfoliating scrubs.
The entire process of scrubbing should take between about a minute and a half.
Be sure to get between your eyes and along your hair line.
The hair line is hard to rinse in the sink, so be sure to focus on that area while in the shower.
It is also very important to read the labels on your face soap and follow the directions.
Using a chemically treated acne wash in conjunction with an acne treatment can lead to severe skin dryness.
The high concentrates of salicylic acid that you get when you mix the two do not treat acne any faster.
It just makes your skin red and dry.
Putting a little more thought into how you are washing your face can take your skin from acne-prone to acne-free in just a few weeks.
Stick to your routine and scrub away!!
