Bridesmaid Luncheon Decorating Ideas
- A bridesmaid luncheon is a way you can spend special time with the friends and relatives who will stand next to you on your wedding day. The luncheon allows you to discuss last-minute details and simply enjoy each other's company. Thank the ladies in your wedding party with a memorable luncheon.
- Decorate your eating area to look like a garden. If you give this luncheon at home, consider renting wrought iron tables and chairs. Plan to eat on your patio or porch if you have an outdoor area and the weather is nice. If you're eating in your dining room, bring in the plants from around your home. Buy special flowers for the centerpiece and for each place setting. Personalize the place settings with ribbons and name tags.
- Host a tea party luncheon on your porch or patio. Look for inexpensive tea cups at flea markets and garage sales. Serve finger sandwiches and sweets such as cupcakes and scones. If it is hot you can also serve iced tea and lemonade. Drape quilts over the backs of chairs, cover a table with a lace tablecloth and brighten the area with vases of fresh wildflowers. Use a small decorative watering can as a centerpiece and arrange a pair of girl's lace gloves next to it.
- Keep your luncheon low key and comfortable by having a cookout. There are no hard-and-fast rules about bridesmaid's luncheons, so they don't even have to be at lunchtime. If you want to invite more ladies than just your bridesmaids, having a cookout is a good way to go. Decorate your porch, deck or patio to give it a wedding feel. Drape yards of white tulle around railings and posts. Add some flowers in your wedding colors wherever you attach the tulle to the railings and posts. Add ribbon bows, as well. Make sure you have plenty of comfortable chairs for your guests.
