How to Connect a Kenmore Refrigerator Water Line
- 1). Unplug the refrigerator's power cord.
- 2). Remove the plastic connector cap from the valve inlet on the bottom of the back of the refrigerator.
- 3). Insert the water line's sleeve fully into the refrigerator's valve inlet.
- 4). Slide the compression nut down the water line to the valve inlet connection point on the back of the refrigerator.
- 5). Turn the nut clockwise until tight, using a vise grip.
- 6). Turn on the water supply and check for leaks. Plug the refrigerator back in. Proceed to the manufacturer's recommended steps for cleaning and preparing the refrigerator's water system before you begin using it.
