Being Discouraged
At some point when we are striving to reach our goals, we tend to get discouraged.
Basically any and everything from negative feedback, to apparent lack of progress could discourage us.
Ways of handling it vary from person to person.
We especially face discouragement when it comes to pursuing our passions.
Often times, we go for a career and we get our first rejection.
That could be enough to discourage some people.
Others know that there are rejections on the path to success.
Another thing that has this type of effect on us is failure.
The harder we fail, the more frustrated we get and the more tempted we are to just give up.
But a lot of us can't give up.
Often times we bounce back as we have a realisation of what we did wrong and we start moving forward.
Of course there is the naysaying.
"It won't work.
" "You should find something practical.
" Those people pretty much should be ignored because they are trying to discourage you.
They basically have nothing to do with your life anyway.
The one thing that does discourage us is our own expectations.
Most of us for some reason don't anticipate how hard or tricky it will be to shoot for our goals and when we find out how it truly is.
We tend to get discouraged from that as well, and sometimes we give up completely.
The way to deal with discouragement is to understand that it is a common experience that you will have.
Also, you'll be discouraged when you're not pursuing your passion anyway, so you might as well go for what you are after.
Nothing that is valuable in this lifetime is easy or free.
You have to fight and fight hard for what you are after.
