I have heard many great writers just pen their thoughts and the book published get great appreciations. My motto is not to get a booker prize award but just to kill time as I sit in the office. As I've decided to pen my thoughts the next question is which memory to write. There have been many such incidents in my life, good and bad, but I don't want to mention those as I'm not sure what it turns up to. So I better choose some normal topic which would be my first assignment. I would like to narrate a small picnic with my friends at panoramic resort in Karnala near Panvel. The trip to the water resort was with my office colleagues which included my boss.
The trip was planned in the month of April but it got postponed coz of work until October. On October 1st we finally went for that long awaiting picnic. The place was selected by our boss and for the first time we felt that he had done a good job. Panoramic Resort was very big and attractive resorts. The picnic was an overnight affair so everyone was excited in spending time as friends. The rooms was a big one with air-conditions.
We reached the resort at around 3 pm and immediately we got ourselves dipped in swimming pool. The pool was well maintained as the water was clean and also the edges of the pool were soft. After all those fun our boss gave us a real surprise. He got us a full bottle of liquor. In the office he was very strict but there he was just a normal guy who likes to party and enjoy to the maximum. We all had some glass of liquor. It was after that session we found many guys enjoying and speaking their heart. There was a guy who literally abused our boss for his behavior in the office. As few guys like me were stopping him from saying anything else our boss asked us to leave him as he wanted to hear the whole story. We were all pissed off by that guy's act and were under the impression that our boss will be kicking us next morning.
Next morning when the other guy came to know about the things he did last night, he got frightened. He didn't even have his breakfast other day. It was only after our boss went to him and had a word everything was normal. When queried what did the boss told the guy, the reply was that the boss was glad that someone at least speaks their heart off. We were still very much sure that boss will do something the moment everyone will be in office. But to our amusement he never bought out that topic. He also tried to change some of his attitude which was criticized by the guy.
