Are You Exhausted?

I had to laugh when Pete showed me the picture that he snapped while I was catching "40 Winks.
" He said he wanted to put a caption under it of; "The #1 Business and Marketing Coach in the World" ah, marriage! As we prepared for the introduction of a new marketing system, a childrens book release, major speaking events and a few different coaching series; I just had to put my head down a time or two to sleep and breath.
Do you ever feel like that? The past year has been especially difficult for Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners, yet we don't give ourselves time to sleep or breath! No wonder you are not making the kind of money that you should be--you can't even stay awake! When you are exhausted, you must stop.
There you go, now you have permission.
Actually, this past weekend, I went to Boulder to visit with some friends and swap some extreme coaching ideas and stories.
It was great fun to do this with (well qualified) friends; we talked about the business ins and outs, gave and received each others' advice, and had a few hearty laughs during it all.
Pete and I stayed in a hotel that night (booked it on Priceline to save a few dollars- that was great!) and then the next morning, we got up at about 6am, went for coffee, took a walk, had a small breakfast, and then went back to our room, curled back up in bed and watch the last day of the Olympics! I even read the entire newspaper!!! This was so relaxing and refreshing, I just could not get over it.
So, by now, you know I NEVER relax! But I think that is the case with many small business owners and entrepreneurs.
You never stop to relax or smell the roses...
I know you smell the coffee because often, that is all that keeps you going! So, when you feel exhausted, or things are not going right, or you can't come up with any good business marketing ideas, no one is talking to you on Social Media...
it is time to stop and relax.
Take a deep breath and smell the roses.
Here is my NEW proven formula to recapture your passion and energy; 1) When you are worn out, stop, acknowledge it and do something about it.
Book a night in a hotel, have a nap, take a long walk, leave the office for the evening, call a friend and have a good laugh 2) Get quiet.
This is something that I encourage all of my Business and Marketing Clients to do on a regular basis; just get a notebook and get quiet.
You will be amazed at what comes to you.
3) Focus on your Need.
Whether you are looking for Business Growth, Marketing Ideas, or just ways to make more money in less time, you need to focus directly on that intention.
4) Write down your inspiration.
Once you stop and actually focus on what you are looking for, you will be amazed at what comes to you...
write it down.
Chances are you are channeling a Business Coach and you are getting a free lesson! Take it and use it.
5) Set up an "Exhaustion Prevention" schedule.
Do what it takes to stop the madness.
It might be a day a week that you are really off (no emails, no phone calls), two mornings a week or a long weekend once a month.
Nurture your mind, body and soul.
You will be surprised at what is given to you in return.
6) Be honest with yourself.
Are you really working when you should be working? If so, great, then you probably already have down time in your schedule.
Most of the time though, Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs get interrupted so often throughout the day that they rarely get done with "the money tasks.
