How to Keep Clementine Oranges Fresh
- 1). Place clementines in a glass or plastic bowl and store them on a counter out of direct sunlight. You can store the fruit this way up to one week.
- 2). Refrigerate the clementines in a bowl for longer life. This will keep the fruit firm for one to two weeks.
- 3). Peel washed fruit and separate the fruit by sections. Pick away the white tissue membranes and pluck away any seeds. Place 4 cups of water and 2 3/4 cups of sugar in a large pot. Heat the sugar mixture on a medium heat, stirring it until it come to a boil. Turn off the heat and coat the sections with the sugar mixture. Freeze the sugar-coated section in plastic containers. Freeze for up to 10 months.
