- 1). Press the "right arrow" on the Xbox 360 controller and select "Career Mode" by pressing the green "action button." Press the "right arrow" again to select "Buy a car" or "Buy Upgrades" if you have already purchased a vehicle.
- 2). Use the "right arrow" button to scroll through upgrade options available for purchase. Options include "Engine and Power," "Platform and Handling," "Tires and Rims" and "Body and Racing." Press the green "action button" on your controller to review the choices available for each option. Upgrades include new engine blocks, spark plugs, cooling systems, turbo chargers, enhanced brakes, suspensions, tires and rims. Each upgrade shows the relative performance boost you can expect as well as the number of credits required for purchase.
- 3). Use the "right arrow" button to select the "Tune Car" menu option. Select "Change Tuning Setup" in order to fine tune the mechanical specifications. Press the "right trigger" button on the controller to adjust tire pressures, gear ratios, toe and camber, braking and to add spoilers and racing bars. The tuning options available are realistic, and minor adjustments may have a dramatic impact on the performance of your car. There is a "Test Drive" menu option available to benchmark your changes prior to confirming your adjustments and saving your progress.
- 4). Use the "right arrow" button to select the "Paint Car" option. This option allows you to apply your creativity to paint the body, accessories and apply decals to your car. There are no performance implications, and you are free to adjust the aesthetic features to build the ultimate racing car of your choice.
