How to Make Paper Caterpillars

    • 1). Wear some old clothes or a painting apron. Place the dark green paper on top of some old unwanted newspapers.

    • 2). Add a little water to the ready-made paints and mix them until they become moist. Gently dip the toothbrush into the green paint and carefully hold it over the paper.

    • 3). Quickly pull the ruler along the brush towards you to make the paint splash. Pulling the ruler towards you will ensure the paint goes onto the paper and and not towards you. Keep flicking bits of paint onto the picture, dipping the toothbrush into the paint as required. When you have finished, do the same with the ready-made brown paint. Continue until you have the color you want your caterpillar to be, and allow the paint to dry.

    • 4). Draw the outline of a caterpillar on the back of the splashed paper using a sharp pencil and then cut it out carefully with a pair of scissors. You can then stick the caterpillar onto any paper or card, or use as a bedroom decoration.
