- 1). Start with clean, dry hair. Your hair should be healthy and strong before applying invisible braids. Braids are heavy and can apply stress to your scalp so avoid this style if your hair is very damaged.
- 2). Prepare the extensions by combing them through to remove and tangles. Divide the hair into 1/4-inch sections and lay them flat next to your work area.
- 3). Squirt a quarter-sized amount of hair oil into your palm. Rub your palms together then apply the oil to your hair, beginning at the scalp and working your way down to the tips. Run your comb through your hair to evenly distribute the oil.
- 4). Separate your hair into quarters. You should have two sections in the front of your head and two in the back. You will be working on one section at a time so clip all but one of the sections out of your way.
- 5). Use the tip of your rat-tail comb to select a 1/4-inch section of hair. Begin at the hairline and work inward.
- 6). Divide this small section of hair into three equal pieces for braiding. Braid the hair by crossing the left section over the center and then the right over the center. Stop after you have braided the hair about 1/2 inch.
- 7). Hold the tip of the braid with one hand and grab your first section of extension hair with your other. Hold the extension hair in the center. You should have equal lengths of hair on either side of the braid you are holding; a small loop will be created at the center.
- 8). Place the center loop of the extension hair flat against your scalp, right under the end of your braid. Pull the braid through the loop and hold the entire bundle tightly at their connection.
- 9). You should now have three hair sections: half of the extensions on the left, the end of the braid in the center and the other half of the extensions on the right.

Braid the extensions into your natural hair using the three sections you created. Braid the hair tightly to keep the extensions securely in place. - 11
Stop braiding when you want the braid to stop. You may choose to just have short braids with lots of loose hair or you may decide to braid the entire length of hair. - 12
Lock the braid in place by taking three strands of extension hair and wrapping them around the entire end of the braid to create a loop. Pull the strands through the loop, and then pull upward to tighten and close the knot. Repeat for extra security. - 13
Repeat steps 5 to 12 for the entire head.
