2005 GMC Sierra Crew Cab Denali
GMC's Denali family has a new member, the 1500 Series Sierra Crew Cab Denali, introduced at the 2004 Chicago Auto Show.
The new pickup truck shares its front-end appearance with the Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali. The Denali-specific chrome grille, projector-beam headlamps and unique front fascia with foglamps are not shared with other Yukon or Sierra models.
Exterior Denali upgrades include body-color door handles, body side moldings, tailgate handle, outside mirrors, rear bumper and a tonneau cover.
The truck can seat five passengers. The front passenger seat is equipped with GM's Passenger Sensing System, which deactivates the passenger frontal air bag under certain conditions to help protect smaller occupants.

More About the Engine and Powertrain
The V-8 engine is more powerful than any engine previously offered in a Denali model. It offers electronic throttle control, which delivers crisp, more immediate throttle response.
The new truck features a Hydra-Matic 4L65-E electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission that's built with heavy-duty components to handle the increased torque of the engine.
The Sierra Crew Cab Denali features full-time all-wheel-drive and a locking rear differential. The all-wheel-drive splits torque approximately 60 percent to the rear wheels and 40 percent to the front. The truck has a towing capacity of approximately 9,000 pounds.
The Z71 suspension includes three-leaf rear springs and 46-mm gas-charged shocks at all corners. The truck is equipped with the advanced Hydroboost brake system, which helps you make high-deceleration stops and offers optimum anti-lock performance.
The Sierra Crew Cab Denali has a 143.5-inch wheelbase with a specially sized 5-foot 8-inch cargo bed and a conventional Crew Cab passenger compartment.
