- 2). Meet the requirements of your state. Most states require a certain number of years of education and/or experience as a professional landscaper; some require a surety bond or some form of surety.
- 3). Register for and take the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (L.A.R.E.) or the required exam for your position in your state.
- 4). Pay the fee associated with the application and license.
