    • 1). Fold a piece of letter-sized card stock in half width-wise. Cut two 1 1/2-inch cuts in the folded side of the card stock 2-inches apart, separating the center of the paper.

    • 2). Open the card stock and push the cut section toward the inside of the card. Crease it to fold inside the card instead of the direction it is currently folded. Refold the card and it should appear as if a chunk is missing from the folded edge because it is folded inside the card.

    • 3). Sketch a 3-inch high teddy bear shape with a circular head, oval body, cylindrical arms and legs, and semi-circle ears. Color the teddy bear drawing with markers or colored pencils. Cut the teddy bear shape out.

    • 4). Open the card half way, positioned horizontally, and place a dab of glue on the folded inner tab that is oriented in the vertical position. Adhere the teddy bear to the tab so the bottom of the bear is approximately 1/8-inch from touching the card's bottom side. Allow the glue to dry before closing the card.

    • 5). Write a personal note inside the card with the markers and add any colored decorative accents. When the glue is dry, close the card and decorate the front.
