In an era where dream matches are no longer possible, one match that fans thought they would never be able to see recently happened. The Rock and John Cena fought each other in the main event of WrestleMania XXVIII after a war of words that lasted over a year. This three-disc DVD set takes a look back at this match and all of the events that led to it.

Review and Recommendation

Format of the DVD: This set is available as both a three-disc DVD set and a 2-disc Blu-ray set.

Disc one features a documentary and some special features while the final two discs feature the moments that led up to the big match as well as the two matches the Rock has competed in since his return.

Match Selection: Three discs, two complete matches. I don't know what else to say. At least the match that people are looking for on this set is here, unlike the Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart DVD that came out last year and didn't feature the Montreal Screwjob.

Overall Recommendation: Talk about trying to squeeze the last drop of blood out of a stone. There is just way too much filler and empty space on this set to recommend spending your money on it. Disc one runs just barely over an hour. Even with such a short running time, the stuff on the disc seemed very familiar as quite a few moments on it were featured in a variety of packages the company ran for this feud a few months ago or on the recent Rock DVD. If by any chance you haven't seen the match, and there really isn't any excuse for American wrestling fans as it was recently aired for free on NBC, it is something I recommend you do.

However, instead of buying this DVD I would recommend buying the DVD or Blu-ray for WrestleMania XXVIII instead. Both will give you Rock vs. Cena and the Hell in A Cell Match between Undertaker and Triple H on that set is much better than anything you'll get on this one.
