They Are Hiring in the Trucking Industry - A Good Time to Start a Truck Washing Business

Over the past several months, I've been contacted by a number of people who wish to start truck washes.
It's rather interesting to me because there seems to be an uptick in interest in this sector, something I haven't seen in a while.
However, I can tell you why - it's because the trucking industry seems to be doing pretty well, it certainly is here the United States.
Okay so let's talk about this for a second - specifically let's talk about those elements needed for the successful profitability of a truck wash business.
There was an interesting article in CCJ or Commercial Carrier Journal on December 2, 2011 titled; "Trucking adds 3,600 jobs in November," by Avery Vise, which took a look at the BLS or Bureau of Labor Statistics report for November 2011 and it stated; "The for-hire trucking industry added 3,600 new jobs in November, BLS, revised downward figures for October by 600 jobs.
This compared to November 2010, trucking employment is up by 33,800 jobs, or 2.
7 percent.
Payroll employment is up by 62,600 jobs, or 5.
1 percent, since the bottom of trucking employment in March 2010.
The number of trucking jobs - nearly 1.
29 million - remains 163,400 jobs below peak employment in January 2007.
These numbers do not include trucking-related jobs in other industries, such as a truck driver for a private fleet.
" More trucks on the roads, obviously means more dirty trucks.
It also means that trucking companies will wish to differentiate themselves from their competition.
The easiest way to do that is to have a cleaner truck.
There are also more regulations in the industry, which means that the weigh scales at the borders of various states and those inspectors will be looking for more potential violations.
It is a well-known fact that a clean truck generally doesn't get the level of scrutiny during these inspections as a dirty or filthy truck.
Independent truck drivers know this, and so do large trucking companies.
Therefore they have their trucks washed more often, especially in those states which are notorious for giving out mechanical violations; California and Ohio for instance.
Therefore it makes sense that any major freeway that is anywhere near those two states would be a good place to put a truck wash.
Of course those aren't the only states in question, but I think you understand my point here.
When the trucking industry is hiring and buying more vehicles, it makes sense that it would be a good time to start a truck washing business.
Perhaps you should consider this and think on it.
