    • 1). Turn off the power supply to your solar power system.

    • 2). Verify that there is ample space on your roof for a new solar panel by measuring the roof using the tape measure.

    • 3). Secure the support brackets for the solar panel to the roof by following the manufacturer's instructions.

    • 4). Set the new solar panel onto the brackets and secure it into place.

    • 5). Attach an electrical wire from the "Positive" or terminal on an existing panel to the "Positive" terminal on the new panel. Attach the wires with the screwdriver.

    • 6). Run another electrical wire from the "Negative" terminal on the same panel to the "Negative" terminal on the new panel. Attach the wires with the screwdriver.

    • 7). Turn the power supply for the solar power system back on.
