New Mexico

• New Mexico boasts the largest land-area military base in the United States. White Sands missile range and military base is more than double the size of any other U.S. military base, with 3200 square miles of land. There are 15 participating SOC schools in New Mexico: Clovis College, Eastern New Mexico-Main Campus, Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell Campus, ITT Tech, Albuquerque Mesalands College, New Mexico Highlands, New Mexico Jr. College, New Mexico Military College, New Mexico State, New Mexico State at Alamogordo, Northern New Mexico, San Juan College, Univ. of the Southwest and Western New Mexico.
  
  

Virginia

• The U.S. Navy's largest home port is in Norfolk, Virginia. Norfolk Naval Base houses over 75 ships and 134 aircraft and is considered the largest naval base in the world. There are 53 participating SOC institutions in Virginia. The Norfolk SOC colleges are ITT Tech in Norfolk, Old Dominion University, Norfolk State, Tidewater Community College, Eastern Virginia Medical School and Virginia Wesleyan University.
  
  

Texas

• Fort Hood, Texas, houses the most army personnel in the United States. Over 100 SOC colleges and universities are located in Texas. The 5 largest Texas universities that are part of the SOC consortium are: The University of Texas at Austin, Texas A & M University at College Station, The University of Houston, The University of North Texas and The University of Texas at Arlington.
  
  

California

• Camp Pendleton is the largest Marine Corps base camp in the United States. Located in northern San Diego County, Camp Pendleton is the prime training base for Marines. Over 125 California colleges and universities are part of the SOC association. They include: 15 DeVry University campuses, 5 Art Institute of California campuses, 2 Argosy University campuses and 15 California State University campuses.
