- 1). Boot your PC to safe mode. Press "F8" when the BIOS screen appears. In the boot menu, select "Safe Mode."
- 2). Log into your account.
- 3). Open the Task Manager by pressing "Ctrl," "Shift" and "Esc" or "Ctrl," "Alt," and "Delete."
- 4). Click "New Task." Type "cmd" and press "Enter." This will open the command prompt.
- 5). Type "rstrui.exe" and press "Enter." This will open the System Restore utility.
